Becoming Fully Present
There is magic in the present moment.
Every. Single. One of them.
I desire collect a community of people who want to help each other wake up and be fully present the life we’re living.
It’s the only one we get, and yet we frequently sleepwalk through it. Or, like driving a familiar route only to realize we don’t remember getting to the destination, we can miss out on the journey.
Our lives are chock full of beauty, life, and love. It’s riddled with divinity. Elizabeth Barrett Browning puts it best:
Earth’s crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God.
I hope you’ll listen for invitations - energetic nudges - to engage in this deepening of the human/divine experience.
What is Contemplation?
Sometimes meaning gets buried under layers of dogma or trauma or merely years of teachers’ words or learning. Spiritual or religious language originates as metaphors trying to point to something numinous and profound. Some of it’s worth keeping.
Contemplation is simply seeing things as they truly are.
Practices like meditation, prayer, chant, silence, singing (and even reading!) all are forms of contemplation when paired with the right attention and intention.
And since we never perfect our practice, we are always becoming more aware, more present.
We are all always budding contemplatives.
